Glendover Basketball Winter

For those of you who are relatively new or brand new to the league, please take a moment to read over the following orientation information:

League Information

As a neighborhood basketball league, Glendover Basketball is organized around the community we serve. Registration will begin September 4th, practices will begin in November, and games will follow in late November/early December. We encourage you to participate in other Fall activities without concern of missing any basketball. Although signups are beginning soon, practices do not start until November. Any overlap in activities will not be a problem. Player evaluation and draft dates will be set soon. Those dates will be posted and emailed once they are set.

Games & Practices

Gameday locations include Glendover Elementary, James Lane Allen Elementary, Calvary Baptist Church, Crestwood Christian Church. Weekly, one night a week practices will be held in these and other facilities in the area. Games are primarily on Saturdays throughout the day. A few Friday night games are also possible.

Registration

Registration dates: Wednesday, September 4th – Friday, September 20th, or until division is full.

Season dates: Practices begin in early November. 10 game season begins late November and season will end with an all-inclusive tournament in early March 2025.

Fees: $150

Additional uniform fee will be collected by the coach following the draft (around $20). No uniform fee for 5th Quarter (K-1st) players.

Divisions

  • 5th Quarter - (K-1st)
  • Training Division - Boys or Girls (2nd-3rd)
  • Prep Division - Boys or Girls (4th-5th)
  • JV Boys - (5th-6th)
  • JV Girls - (5th and up)
  • Varsity Boys - (7th-8th)
  • HS Lower - (9th-10th) closed to players on their high school teams
  • HS Upper - (11th-12th) closed to players on their high school teams

*** 5th graders are welcome to choose either Prep or JV. Prep is smaller ball, lower rim (9 ft); JV is regulation size ball, 10 ft rim. ***
